Control Live Using KeyPlay For iOS – With A New ‘Scale Snap’ Feature
I’ve always thought it was pretty hard to actually play MIDI instruments using a touchscreen device – i.e. iPhone, iPad etc. This new app is a step in the right direction though – a new ‘Scale Snap’ feature corrects wrong notes on the fly.

Griid iPad App Boasts Seamless Live MIDI Editing

Griid is a new iPad app produced by Liine, featuring direct Ableton Live integration thanks to a new module called ‘Cliip’.
Alongside full Ableton Live compatibility, it features an intuitive touch interface for editing MIDI clips right from your iPad. Clip editing via a touch screen – why didn’t someone think of that sooner? It’s got all the normal iPad-esque multi-touch gestures, ala pinch to zoom. It makes MIDI editing sound like a breeze.
